Wedding Ceremony Music

In planning your wedding, there are hundreds of choices and decisions to make. Here are a few tips that can help you to make the right decisions about your wedding music selection.

    Right DJ Wedding Ceremony Music

Wedding reception musical choices can have a great impact on the entire wedding day experience. Wedding ceremony music is used to announce and accompany a specific order of events. Wedding ceremony is different from place to place. If you are like most brides and grooms, the music that will be played during your wedding ceremony is very important to you -- but you may not have a clue how to go about selecting it.

An important factor in choosing your music is the setting for your wedding ceremony. How religious do the lyrics of a song have to be for a church wedding? Check with the church where your wedding will be held for its specific guidelines. Most religious denominations consider a wedding ceremony to be a form of worship service.

You will probably need to hire live vocalist(s); many churches do not allow recorded music in wedding ceremonies, except perhaps recorded accompaniment for a live vocalist.

Weddings usually contain four different musical parts: Prelude, Processional, Solo during ceremony, and Recessional.

If your ceremony will not be in a religious setting, you can choose just about any kind of music you like -- although you will want to stay within the bounds of good taste. On the other hand, if your ceremony will be in a church or synagogue, or conducted by a clergy person at another location, you will probably need to stay within guidelines set by the clergy person or the church.

On your wedding day, nothing is more important for creating a beautiful and memorable ceremony than the music you select. Selecting the perfect wedding music for your ceremony can make your wedding service magnificent.

Preludes: Prelude music is the music that is played before the ceremony begins.

Background Music: If you are having a candle lighting, peace greeting, rose ceremony, or other special moment during your ceremony, you may like some quiet music in the background while this is taking place.

Recessional: This music is played at the conclusion of the ceremony, immediately after the bride and groom are first introduced as husband and wife.

Postlude: This music is played after the ceremony is over and the guests are leaving the room.

Songs that make respectful reference to God (or to Jesus or the Holy Spirit in Christian churches) are almost certain to be acceptable. Many churches will also allow a song that does not make specific reference to a deity, as long as it focuses on religious ideals and values relating to love and marriage, such as faithfulness and mutual support.

Vocal music is probably the aspect of your wedding music selection where you will want to have the most personal involvement, since the songs include lyrics and you will want them to be especially meaningful for you.

Here's a Tip: Wedding Music Advisor™ (WMA) is a web-based wedding music selection tool that guides the wedding couple through the process of selecting musical titles for their ceremony or service. WMA displays music titles based on categories chosen for the style of the ceremony. The wedding couple then clicks to listen to the selections as they wish.

    For Reception Music:
You need someone who is not only talented with wedding music selection, but someone who will be able to keep your guests entertained. Consider injecting some classic as well as main stream Latin music into your wedding music selection. More on this on other articles from 800dj.com.
